NBA Stars of the Week – Minnesota Timberwolves
A rare time to celebrate in Minnesota
Minnesota Timberwolves – The 5-34 T-Wolves pulled off a miracle week; beating Phoenix, Golden St. and New Jersey and barely losing in the last seconds at Boston. Not only had Minnesota not won back-to-back games all season, but between each of their wins was a losing streak of at least 5 games. Al Jefferson led the way, averaging 29 points and 13 rebounds while shooting 54% from the field.
NBA Goat of the Week – Jason Kidd
Kidd decides he’s not going down with the ship
Jason Kidd – Its been a tough stretch for the Nets having lost their last 9 games. Rather than stepping up as the leader, J-Kidd sends his agent in to see Nets management to demand a trade. I gave him the benefit of the doubt when he allegedly went on strike, but this is too much. And how about hitting a shot for once? Kidd is shooting a career low .369 from the field and hasn’t shot over 50% from the field or scored over 13 points in any game during the 9-game losing streak.
